GENERAL COUNCIL MEETING AT AHMEDABAD

As Scheduled, the meeting of the executive committee started at 4 P.M. on 1-11-2012 which lasted up to 8 P.M.

On 02-11-2012, the inaugural function started at 10 A.M. Pujya Mahant Swami & Shri P.K.Laheri inaugurated the function with lighting the lamp. Then the Children of Andh Shala (Blind School) started prayer. As many as 200 members participated from various parts of the country including our local committee members & invitees. Our President welcomed the gathering. Then Pujya Mahant Swami gave blessings & wished all success to our function. ShriP.K.Laheri gave his educative and informative speech and wished our function grand success. He offered to arrange next meeting at Somnath where he will give all facilities. ShriNaren Shah, Chairman Vision Foundation Spoke on the occasion.

The Open session started at 2:30 P.M. after lunch, which was concluded at 8:00P.M.

On 3-11-2012, the rest of the agenda was taken at 9:30 A.M. which was concluded at 12:00 noon. Again at 2:30 P.M. the meeting started which was concluded at 8:00 P.M.

In the mean time, an election of office bearers was held which was conducted by Shri R.B.Dolia, assisted by Shri G T Parikh. Most of the office bearers continued except one orgn,secretary Shri B.Angurajan (Madurai) and one Deputy General Secretary Shri B.D.Gupta (Punchkula) for Delhi were elected unanimously.

Shri G T Parikh. continued as Vice President (WZ) and ShriB.P.Buch (Rajkot) as Jt. Secretary. ShriR.D.Dev, K.K.Raravikar and Roudrigues as E.C. Members. As per the Resolution passed in the meeting, the Executive Committee was expanded with the inclusion of President or General Secretary from each Division so as to give representation to the Divisions.

Over and above, one more resolution moved by Shri G.T.Parikh and seconded by Shri B.C.Rathod was passed unanimously which reads as under:-

Pre’86 retirees whose numbers is only 950 out of 5500 initially. Monthly medical allowance to the tune of Rs.3400 to Rs. 5600 must be paid which comes only Rs.1.03 cr.per annum. This is in view of the fact that presently they are getting meager amount of basic Rs.300 + Commensurate D.A. per month so that they can be placed in a better position.
